Accounts – Grid User Account

Fielding users do not need to follow this please see “Fielding User Account“.

The Grid operate an independent computer system from the rest of the university; this means that your Durham CIS details will not work on the grid.

Details Required/Stored

  • Forenames
  • Surnames
  • University/Institute email address
  • Supervisors name (if applicable)
  • Leaving Date

Once you have an account, if you are going to submit to the Grid (both Durham and the wider WLCG/GridPP infrastructure) then you require a Grid Certificate, if you are only utilising specific services then you may not require a certificate.
